How To Be A Synchromystic Journalist In 5 Easy Steps

1) Find a compelling News Item.

2) Research the meaning of keywords and symbols.  When you have mastered synchromystic journalism, you probably won't need to back up your sources, so expert at identifying these notions you will surely be, but if you are a beginner, this first step requires due diligence.  In the early stages, try to have at least three distinct sources to provide proper support to the keyword/symbolic meaning.  This will quicken the acquisition of your repertoire.

3) Make a lateral connection. 

4) Add some moral support to the argument.  The better sync journalists often include a bewildering and intoxicating orrery of lateral connections as moral support to their work, raising sometimes the value of sync journalism into Art.         

5) Bonus Step.  It is helpful to include a reference to The Wizard Of Oz and/or Stanley Kubrick.

Let's do a step by step sync journal from scratch.

1) Find a compelling News Item.

Search your favorite news source and choose a hot item, something not too esoteric, that relates to a broad spectrum of interest. The murder-suicide of athlete Jovan Belcher and his girlfriend is tragically interesting.

2) Research the meaning of keywords and symbols. 

For the purpose of this lesson, we examine only the highlighted text, but there are many details worth exploration, like numbers; colors and color combinations; qabalistic values; precise timing values, etc.  As the skill of the synchomystic increases, so does his or her ability to balance a more complex variety of keywords, symbols and obscure hermetica.

Our keyword analysis finds that Jovan means Jupiter and/or Zeus.  Belcher provides a similar meaning as Jovan.  In An Etymological Dictionary of Family and Christian Names, author William Arthur declares that the surname of Belcher means good cheer.  British composer Gustav Holst, in his astrological tone poem The Planets, likewise identifies Jupiter as The Bringer of Jollity (Bringer of Joy).

Saturday is the planet Saturn.

Arrowhead provides the current astrological house, Sagittarius.  December 1, 2012 falls inside of Sagittarius.

Kasandra is also the Greek Cassandra.  Cassandra is a prophetess of doom, a predictor of an upcoming terror.

3) Make a lateral connection.

Using this third step is like the middle game of chess, which is to say it is somewhat nebulous and requires a bit of practice and the knowledge gained from research and lifetime experience.  It is needless to say that in this age of easily acquired information, experience can be gained at lightning speed.  

Here is a short example of some lateral connections to our chosen news item.

The name Jovan Belcher implies Zeus Zeus, and therefore may also imply Zeus the Second.  Furthermore we have Zeus Jr., and then J. Zeus, which is a homophone for Jesus.  

The Saturday timing of this event may indicate that while the act of this murder suicide is attributed to the hand of Jovan Belcher, a greater and more powerful influence is being wielded behind the curtain, just as the comical and jolly Wizard of Oz is camouflage for a potent language of the Saturnine occult process.  Jupiter is the largest planet in our solar system and beyond Jupiter is Saturn, so we can infer the large size of Jupiter as a barrier used to hide the image of Saturn the Great Magician, who created Time and the process of cyclical alchemy.  Moreover, the location of this act inside the timeline of Sagittarius and the voice of Greek Doomsayer Cassandra are strong pointers to a legitimate synchroid event.

4) Add some moral support to the argument.

Adding layers of research by the use of both multiple sources and the creative manipulation of available data.

This step is unnecessary because if the first three steps are properly completed and the data is correct, the synchroid event has been fully reported.  Nevertheless, this step will give your sync piece the decided flavor of your own special interests and strengths. This step also indicates a level of commitment to the process of synchromystic journalism, and therefore earns a certain respect from other sync reporters.

A caveat: this step is also a bit dangerous, because your creative intuition may be wrong in terms of some deeper level of research. The confrontation with this danger is problematic, and has caused many a sync journalist to delete or destroy much of their own work in a fit of paranoia.  This difficulty is easily mitigated with the firm realization that at any point in your work, you might be wrong--seriously wrong.  If you can prepare for such a rude awakening, you should be OK when it happens, even if it really hurts.

5) Bonus Step.  It is helpful to include a reference to The Wizard Of Oz and/or Stanley Kubrick.

A firm knowledge of The Wizard of Oz and/or the films of Stanley Kubrick can be a real boon to your readership, as both of these fields are heavily and persistently referenced in sync reportage.  If it is a real sync, TWOZ and Stanley are all over that shit long before you could ever hope to get at it.  Some other ready boons are The Beatles; Pink Floyd and the Publius Enigma; the literary work of Aleister Crowley; The KJV Bible and Strong's Concordance.  An even cursory glance at these works, if it be a glance of real passion for the facts, is certain to increase massively your sync insight.

Here is a quick example of a strong Kubrick connection.

In 2001: ASO, our hero David Bowman crosses beyond Jupiter.  In his novelization, A.C. Clarke takes Bowman into the orbit of Saturn, which is a long way outside the orbit of Jupiter.  On the Journey of the Discovery, the two pilots, Bowman and Poole, wear red and yellow space suits, respectively.  We have already connected the murder-suicide of Jovan Belcher to the planetary bodies of Jupiter and Saturn.  The Red and Yellow Gold colors of the KC Chiefs Jersey support this same color combo of Red and Yellow.  The team name of The Chiefs also conflates the cosmological powers of Jupiter and Saturn, which are expressed clearly in the classical myth of these two great figures.

Now check out this Zowie!  David Bowman clearly implies Arrowhead.  Well take a look at Arrowhead Practice Facility, where Belcher carried out his so-called suicide.

The dome of the structure (seen in the left side of the image) is in the profile of a football.  

Danny Torrance is recognized by all serious Kubrick experts as a simulation of David Bowman.  The yellow poster for The Shining and the face of Bowman the Star Child are given often as proof of this connection.

So there you have it, young synchronauts, The Five Easy Steps to become a synchromystic jounalist.  Now it is up to you.  Get out there and start sinking, um, I mean synching, because it's not just the best thing to do, it's the only thing.

I add to this instruction my own and necessary 6th step.  In the journalistic study of popular synchronicity, a horrible truth is both commonly and boldly denied.  Real people get hurt.  The events of 9/11, for example, may indeed be a marvelous stargate leap toward a better tomorrow, but in the meantime, real people get hurt.  Suffering is a necessary component to reality. Suffering and evil are as magickal as anything else.  The belief that we live in a new age of healing and joy is an illusion.  The honest study of synchroniticy must include a reckoning with the terrible side of things and I think that in the main, this aspect of our reality is being badly overlooked.  

It ain't no game and so far, there is no cure all. Terrible things happen and they happen in sync.  We doubt sincerely that when her terrible sync came down, Kasandra Perkins felt like she was manifesting her own vision of reality.
